IES-Holding introduced investment strategy and investment program of VoTGC to the journalists of Samara

The managers of IES-Holding told the journalists of Samara about the general strategy and implementation principles of investment projects in electric power industry. Investment program of VoTGC (TGC-7), approved by IES-Holding, that is the strategic shareholder of the company, was also introduced during the press conference that took place of August 26. Investment projects of TGC, incorporated in IES-Holding, provide for creation of over 3 GW of new capacities. Deputies of Samara City Duma on their scheduled plenary meeting have approved Volga TGC investment program of Samara heat supply till 2015. Necessity of this document approval appeared long ago. In the conditions of lack of heat power reserves, low thermal grids transfer capacity and high wear of equipment it is getting more and more difficult for Volga TGC to provide necessary conditions for new objects connection to the company’s grids. Implementation of program, offered by Volga TGC will allow to upgrade heating and grid equipment significantly that will result in increase of heating quality and reliability in Samara and to guarantee heating power supply to new districts of the city. → далее
Volga TGC celebrates third anniversary of its foundation

On August 1, 2008 OJSC Volga Territorial Generation Company celebrates its third anniversary. The power company was founded on August 1, 2005 within the frames of Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk and Orenburg power systems reformation project. Volga TGC has combined generation and thermal grid assets of Samaraenergo, Saratovenergo and Ulyanovskenergo with further contribution of 100% of Orenburg ЕПС shares in its authorized capital. Volga TGC has increased electric power generation in the 1st semester

Electric power generation by Volga TGC thermal power plants (including Orenburg TGC) in the first six months of 2008 amounted to 14.7 bln. kW/h. This is 8,8% higher than the last year figure. Generation increase resulted from the efficient strategy of Volga TGC operation at wholesale electricity market, that allowed to achieve optimal balance between stations loading mode and demand for electric power, generated by the company. → далее
